Happy Easter

We had a fun time taking Kaden to all of the different Easter egg hunts. When he found an egg he had to open the egg and eat the candy. I guess he doesn't get that you need to find as many eggs as you can, as fast as you can. After he found his eggs he was not going to let them out of his sight. All the other kids went and played on the swings and slide, not Kade he wanted to be right were he could see ALL of his eggs. You might think I deprive him of sugar, but I can assure you that is
not the case.

Kaden only got a whopping 2 eggs. He ran past the fist 200 eggs who knows why. Every last egg was out of sight with in 3 minutes. For those children who think they can sit and enjoy there jelly beans only get a few of them.

What a Great Mom I Have

We went to Ogden last week for Kyle's Weber High Alumni basketball tournament. Kaden and I went to Logan for the week to spend time with my mom. Can I just tell you I have the best MOM in the whole world. She was so fun, she took the day off work and tried very hard to stay out of the library and off her computer. Some of my favorite pastimes in Logan are going to lunch with everyone. That is one thing I miss about Logan so so much. The part that even stinks worse is that everyone that would go to lunch has moved, Nick and Laura are in Georgia, Paul and Nicole are in Boise, Lindsey and Riley are in Eagle Mountain. Kim, Lee, Mom, Dad, and Angie are still there which I guess is still enough to make for a great get together for lunch. Our favorite places to go are Hamilton’s, Cafe Sabor, Center Street, Cafe Rio, and of course if Dad is in town the China Buffet or Mandarin Garden. I loved being back in Logan and having the opportunity to have time with just my mom and Kaden, did I mention she is the best Grandma in the world!!! Mom knows that Kaden LOVES all fruit, so the cute grandma that she is she went to Sams Club and got watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. Kaden thought he was in heaven. He sat at the island eating fruit for at least 30 minutes. He came home with clean bowels to say the least. I had mentioned how good carrot juice sounded, so of course mom bought a huge thing of carrots and made me some carrot juice. It made me want to cry to think what a great mom she is so sensitive to everyone’s wants, needs and desires.

Happy Saint Partrick's Day

I wanted to do something fun for Saint Patrick’s Day. We thought that it would be fun to make "Green Eggs and Ham" Kaden loved reading the book, especially knowing that he was going to get to eat what Sam ate. Lindsey and Riley come over for dinner, we are so glad to have them so close. We made sugar cookies after dinner. I think Kaden just ate the frosting; he even frosted his green wheat bread. It just might have to be a new tradition in the Hess family.
