Kyle, walked in the door with a suspicious bag in hand. Avery spilled the beans, "Daddy bought you some pants!" I literally started laughing out loud, she must be joking. I would never buy myself a pair of jeans 8 months pregnant, the thought of shimming my "slender" pregnant thighs and butt into a pair of jeans, noo thank you! I was hesitant to open the bag with the name Motherhood on it. Before opening the bag I told Kyle, "I hope you have the receipt!" It took a week to get the gumption to try on the jeans he picked, I was pleasantly surprised by his choice. It will go down as one of the sweetest gestures of love, it took courage for Kyle to buy me jeans!

I'm missing the evening fall hikes. Avery was such a trooper on this hike, She made it half way up the wind caves all by herself. Kyle and I couldn't believe her change in attitude about hiking. This was the hike that she caught the love of the outdoors and the mountains. For several weeks after we went on this hike she would ask Kyle and I, " We go in the mountains to hike??!"
Taking the short cut with a baby in the Kelty Backpack, not recommend!
It would help if my kids smile when I tell them!
You can see the full moon peeking over the mountains just as we were nearing the end of the hike.
Impressive, Avery asleep!
