I'm missing the evening fall hikes. Avery was such a trooper on this hike, She made it half way up the wind caves all by herself. Kyle and I couldn't believe her change in attitude about hiking. This was the hike that she caught the love of the outdoors and the mountains. For several weeks after we went on this hike she would ask Kyle and I, " We go in the mountains to hike??!"
Taking the short cut with a baby in the Kelty Backpack, not recommend!
It would help if my kids smile when I tell them!
You can see the full moon peeking over the mountains just as we were nearing the end of the hike.

Beautiful! I need to catch the spirit of hiking! maybe you could take me out and that would happen for me. I just hate the cold! lol!
